Preserving treasures

For protecting our cultural monuments

  • Dehumidifying plaster: for drying very damp walls in historical buildings. With high water transport capacity.
  • Very vapor permeable to transport moisture.
  • For substitution of chemical injections in cultural monuments.
  • For the restoration of damp walls with high salt content: transports the salt to the surface so that it can be brushed away.
  • Can be used as a sacrificial plaster that absorbs moisture and salt, then removed and replaced.

Area of application

  • Outdoors: wall + ceiling
  • Indoor: wall + ceiling
  • Suitable for monuments and historical buildings
  • Vapour permeable

Processing method

  • For hand processing
  • Special drying plaster for the rehabilitation of wet masonry.
  • For high salinity and wet areas.
  • For stone, brick and mixed masonry.
  • For basements and walls below ground level.

Processing details

Learn more about technical details for processing this product.

Substrate requirement

The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding substances and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and evenly absorbent. The surface shall not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate must be stable in volume.

Substrate preparation

Depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the climatic conditions, it needs to be moistened. Coat the substrate with pre-sprinkleri prepare from material Cemix 2147. The pre-sprinklering must be done in its full area. The substrate must be dampened before plastering.
If necessary, treat non-standard substrates with a suitable method to achieve the desired properties. The substrate must comply with applicable regulations, standards or material manufacturer's recommendations.

Preparation of the mixture

Prepare the material by pouring the dry mixture into the prescribed amount of water and mixing it. Use potable water or water complying with EN 1008 to mix the mixture. Mix using a drum mixer. Mix to a homogeneous mixture without lumps.
In case of preparation of the pre-sprinkler, the mixing time is max. 10 minutes. You set the watery consistency only in the last minute of mixing.

Processing instructions

Apply the plaster to the surface with a trowel or other suitable tool. Then roughly flatten the surface with a squeegee to the desired level. Once the plaster has set, open the plaster flat with a suitable tool. A minimum curing time of 1 day per 1 mm of applied layer is considered. The plaster forms a base and levelling layer for the stucco or final finish. The plaster must not be left untreated in the exterior for long periods (especially over the winter period).
