LIME PRE-SPRINKLER

Formerly Name change (available during the year). Previous product 2750.

For the professional preservation of monuments

Strong hold for lime base plasters

  • Coarse texture: Surface treatment to improve the adhesion of pure lime base plasters.
  • Lime-based and cement-free: For plastering of historical buildings made of classic masonry materials (brick, natural stone).
  • Contains pozzolan: Reduces efflorescence and prevents from stains.
  • Diffusion open: Highly vapour permeable for a good room climate. With natural anti-fungal properties.
  • Good adhesion: lime based with puzzolan additives.
  • Suitable for renovations and new buildings.

Area of application

  • Outdoors: wall + ceiling
  • Indoor: wall + ceiling
  • Suitable for monuments and historical buildings
  • Vapour permeable

Processing method

  • For hand and machine processing
  • Contact bridge for stone, brick and mixed masonry before lime plaster application. For internal and external use.

Processing details

Learn more about technical details for processing this product.

Substrate requirement

The substrate must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust, paint, residues of demoulding substances and efflorescence. It must be sufficiently rough, dry and evenly absorbent. The surface shall not be frozen or water-repellent. The substrate must be stable in volume and must have the required flatness.

Substrate preparation

Depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the climatic conditions: very absorbent substrates must be moistened. If necessary, non-standard substrates should be modified by a suitable method to achieve the required properties. The joints of the old masonry are scraped to a depth of approx. 20 mm. The substrate must comply with the applicable regulations, standards or recommendations of the material manufacturer.

Preparation of the mixture

Prepare the material by pouring the dry mixture into the prescribed amount of water and mixing it. Use potable water or water complying with EN 1008 to mix the mixture. Mix using a slow speed propeller mixer. Mix to a homogeneous, lump-free mixture and leave to rest. Then mix again briefly. Use suitable machinery when processing by machine.

Processing instructions

When applied by hand, the spray is applied to cover approximately 75% of the masonry with a mason's spoon or ladle. The maximum layer is 5 mm. For machine application, we recommend the use of an older pump unit with a higher wear rate, as the rotor/stator can pump the grain size of the material more easily. Highly absorbent substrates should be moistened with water before spray application.

Treatment after application

Non-absorbent materials prolong the maturation period.
After application, the direct negative effects of sun, heat, humidity and draughts should be avoided. Protect from frost and rain. Direct heating of the surface is prohibited.

Tool and cleaning instructions

Wash off tools with water immediately after finishing work. Clean dried residues mechanically.
