Substrate requirement
The substrate (steel) must comply with the applicable standards, must be solid, free of loose particles, free of dust. It must be sufficiently dry. The surface shall not be frozen.
In case of major degradation of the substrate, we recommend a consultation with a structural engineer.
Substrate preparation
On all corroded steel, remove loose parts and corrosion layers. Clean the steel to a silvery shine (Sa 2). Pay particular attention to the back of the exposed reinforcement. High pressure cleaning or sanding is recommended. If this is not possible for technical reasons, the reinforcement must be carefully cleaned mechanically (e.g. with a steel brush). In areas where corrosion due to chloride has occurred, rinse the steel with pressure water immediately after cleaning to remove any residual corrosive substances.
Preparation of the mixture
Směs připravíte tak, že nejprve smícháte 2/3 suché směsi s plným objemem vody. Míchejte ji 2 min. a poté za stálého míchání přidejte zbývající suchou směs a míchejte 3 min. do požadované konzistence. Smíchejte do homogenní směsi bez hrudek. Směs nechte odpočinout. Poté znovu krátce promíchejte. K míchání použijte pomaloběžný pádlový mixér s maximální rychlostí 800 otáček za minutu. K míchání směsi použijte pitnou vodu nebo vodu odpovídající normě EN 1008.

Mixing
Processing instructions
Apply the paint to the cleaned reinforcement with a medium-hard brush. Water must not stand on the reinforcement. Apply the coating as soon as possible after completion of the preparation work. Coat the surface of the reinforcement with one full and complete coat of approx. 0.5 mm thick. Take great care on the back of the exposed reinforcement.
There is no harm in painting the adjacent concrete, but the paint must always be spread in a thin layer to ensure high adhesion of the remedial mortar.
The painted reinforcement may be left exposed to the weather for up to 4 weeks before applying the sanitation mortar. Check the continuity of the coating before covering.
Sanitation mortar or concrete may be applied first after 1 hour when the coating has dried and there is no risk of coating failure.

Treatment after application
After application, the direct negative effects of sun, heat, humidity and draughts should be avoided. Protect from frost and rain. Direct heating of the surface is prohibited.
Tool and cleaning instructions
Wash off tools with water immediately after finishing work. Clean dried residues mechanically.
